A little bit ago back in February, of 2025 to be specific, it was our one year (wowie) anniversary, and he flew the both of us to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a whole eight days.
Now, when we arrived it was immensely warm, and the flight there wasn't the most ideal take-off and travel experience I've ever had in my life (and I don't believe it was either of those things for him either) but still with the company (him) it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had travelling, by far.
Basically our original flight time was 7:00 am and we ended up actually taking off around 11:30 am, which as I say is not the worst it could've been, BUT for two and a half of those hours we were sitting on a cramped, and very warm plane, not to mention we were about six rows apart from each other, which when you're two very *definitely* not anxious people is a less than fun experience. But all that aside we made it to the resort unscathed, albeit a bit tired.
The first night we were there was mostly just dropping our stuff off at our room and getting food, then winding down in our room which included a lot of random spanish cartoons, and other activities
Our first day, was spent super productively. Well actually the first thing was, because we were getting our weekly activities booked with the resort staff, we had purchased a package where when you bought two experiences, you got a whole third one free (WOW deal of the century)
And then the rest of the day, in accordance to pictures from the trip was spent approx. like so:
10:00 am to 4:00 pm -> Pool hopping and wandering around the beach
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm ish -> Dinner and vibing around the resort
9:00 pm to ??? -> The pictures seem to be two photos of us and some drinks, spaced an hour apart, and then no update until 4am
The day after that was about the same, just general vibing around the resort (oh also discovered that day that the entire resort was crawling with IGUANAS - so rad)
